Police responded to a report of multiple suspicious packages found at a pedestrian bridge near the New Rochelle Metro-North station Tuesday afternoon.
A civilian pressed a Help Point button when they saw what was thought to be a suspicious package on the bridge leading to the station, according to MTA police.
MTA police confirmed the sighting of one suspicious package. New Rochelle, Westchester County and MTA police investigated the incident.
Officials determined that a vendor left behind four boxes on the pedestrian bridge.
The investigation did not impact evening train schedules.
