Police say a Poughkeepsie woman suffered serious injuries during a Thursday afternoon car crash in Poughkeepsie.

The crash happened on South Road near Rochambeau Lane just after 3:40 p.m.

Investigators say a Poughkeepsie man was making a left turn on the southbound side of South Road when he collided with the woman.

Police say the woman was taken to the hospital.

South Road was closed until around 7:45 p.m. while police investigated.
