A man is accused of hitting three people with a car outside a Milford bar Monday, police say.

Vincent Lopez, 53, was arrested and is facing assault and evading among other charges.

Lopez is accused of striking three people with the car after a fight broke out outside Alfa's bar on Naugatuck Avenue around 1:30 a.m.

Police say Lopez was fighting with a man who was hanging outside of the car’s driver's side window. The man, a wman and another man were all struck by the car.

The man who was struck by the vehicle last was seriously hurt and underwent surgery at the hospital, police say.

Lopez took off with the car, but was arrested 40 minutes later at a home near the bar.

Milford Officer Mike DeVito says police are reviewing surveillance video from outside of the bar and that Lopez could face additional charges including DUI.  

The two other victims are expected to be OK.
