A New Rochelle mother is accused of leaving her 3-year-old son alone while she went out drinking at a bar.
Police say Eveline Raini, who lives in an apartment on Pelham Road, was at a bar about 100 yards away from her home while her son was home alone on Saturday night. They say he was alone for nearly 12 hours.
News 12 has been told her husband went to work Saturday morning and found his son alone and hungry when he returned at night.
The father called police, and they found the 43-year-old woman at C.J. Cullens Tavern on Pelham Road.
Investigators say Raini first went to Manhattan and then returned to New Rochelle on a Metro-North train.
Raini was recently convicted and awaiting sentencing for a DWI before she was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
