Police in New Rochelle arrested a couple they say attacked and robbed two people in separate incidents Wednesday.
According to police, a man and woman from Mount Vernon were in a stolen car when they approached a person walking in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Brook Street around 1:30 a.m. Police say the pair attacked the man and robbed him. As police were attending to the victim, another person reported he too was attacked and robbed by the two suspects not long after the first hit. Police say they spotted the couple not far from the scene of the two attacks. While trying to get away, police say the duo hit a parked car and rammed two police cars.
Police say the woman was identified as 40-year-old Monique Moore. The man has not yet been identified. The two suspects are facing a number of charges including robbery and assault.
