Police are searching for a man accused of stealing an engagement ring from a Suffolk mall.

Police say the masked man asked to see a diamond engagement ring at Kay Jewelers at Westfield South Shore Mall in Bay Shore earlier this month.

Police tell News 12 the man then fled the scene with the ring - which is worth over $4,000.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
