A man pulled from a house fire in Ossining by first responders died after arriving at Phelps Hospital, police say.
A 911 call around 1 p.m. reported the fire at 336 Spring St. Fire crews gave the unnamed victim CPR before he was transported to the hospital in Sleepy Hollow.
Police say the man appeared to be in his 30s and was the only one inside the house at the time. Fire officials said that the second floor of the home, where the victim was found was heavily cluttered and presented a challenge to rescuers.
The house on Spring Street is being treated as a crime scene but authorities say there is no reason to believe the fire was suspicious.
In addition to the Ossining Fire Department, crews from Tarrytown, Croton-on-Hudson, Millwood and Thornwood assisted during the incident.
