Authorities say an Orange County man is behind bars this afternoon after he was caught with heroin and painkillers.
Police say Jason Doolittle, of Middletown, was attempting to inject himself with heroin when they arrested him in the Big Lots parking lot in Wallkill.
They say he had 48 bags of heroin, along with almost two-dozen oxycodone pills on him at the time.
Doolittle was charged with multiple misdemeanors and is being held on bail.
