A man took his own life in Peekskill today by jumping off a parking garage with a rope tied around his neck. Police say the man hung himself with rope on the third floor of the structure on Park Street

A man took his own life in Peekskill today by jumping off a parking garage with a rope tied around his neck.
Police say the man hung himself with rope on the third floor of the structure on Park Street and jumped to his death. Witness say that around 3:30 p.m., the man was spotted on the third floor. He was reportedly seen tying a rope around his neck.
Dozens of people, including parents and young children, watched in horror as the man dangled for some time before crews arrived to remove his body with a ladder truck.
Police have not yet identified the victim.
