The estranged husband of a woman found dead in her bathtub in 2009 has been charged in connection with her death.
Shele Danishefsky Covlin, 47, was discovered by her daughter inside the family's Upper West Side apartment on New Year's Eve 2009.
Her husband, Roderick Covlin, has been a suspect in her murder for years.
Police say Covlin is now charged with murdering his wife.
They say the couple was on the brink of divorce and Shele even had an appointment with an attorney.
No arrests were made, despite suspicions against her husband, because authorities initially believed Shele slipped and fell.
Reports say her body was exhumed and re-examined and a determination was made that she was strangled.
Reports also say she was going to cut Colvin out of her will, which would have given him roughly $2 million.
Covlin's next court appearance is Nov. 9.
