Police: Man arrested for stabbing in Poughkeepsie

Police say Kevin Carrera-Almeida, from Ecuador, was fighting a man when an officer noticed the victim had been stabbed in the leg.

Police say a man has been arrested for a stabbing in Poughkeepsie.
It happened on Innis Avenue Thursday.
Police say Kevin Carrera-Almeida, from Ecuador, was fighting a man when an officer noticed the victim had been stabbed in the leg.
Officers stopped the fight, gave him first aid, and arrested Almeida.
After investigating, police found the incident was connected to another stabbing on Smith Street.
Almeida was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He is being held on a $100,000 cash bail.
