Police: Mamaroneck overdose victim was shot in White Plains on Friday

A Mamaroneck man that died from an apparent drug overdose was also the victim of a shooting, according to Mamaroneck Village police.

A Mamaroneck man that died from an apparent drug overdose was also the victim of a shooting, according to Mamaroneck Village police.
Village police responded to 604 Tompkins Ave. around 5 p.m. Tuesday and found a 23-year-old Mamaroneck resident, who apparently suffered a fatal overdose.
Further investigation revealed the man had suffered a gunshot wound to the left shoulder last Friday night in White Plains.
News 12 reported at the time that police believed the victim had been shot in the area of 225 Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Blvd., but he was found in the area of Bloomingdale Road around Maple Avenue.
He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The name of the victim has not been released and the investigation is continuing.
