Police are warning residents in Ramapo to look out for scammers posing as IRS agents.
Officials say someone posing as an IRS agent called a woman, warning her that she would be arrested unless she paid them using prepaid debit cards.
The woman allegedly paid and lost thousands of dollars.
Ramapo police are asking residents who receive a similar call to contact them.
