A 29-year-old Kingston man is in custody after breaking into his ex-girlfriend's residence and assaulting her, according to Town of Lloyd police.
Jahkeem Ryan reportedly entered the home while his ex-girlfriend was away, causing damage to items inside. Upon her return, Ryan allegedly assaulted her and damaged her car door as she attempted to leave.
Ryan, already on federal probation for narcotics distribution, was apprehended on Monday. He now faces a slew of charges including burglary, criminal mischief, and assault.
Following his arrest, Ryan was arraigned and subsequently remanded to Ulster County Jail after bail was set at $100,000 cash.
While scheduled for a court appearance on Tuesday, no further updates have been provided by local authorities at this time.
