Police across the Hudson Valley are increasing patrols after a violent attack at a Michigan synagogue.

Rockland County officials say extra patrols are now in place in Ramapo and Clarkstown.

It comes as the FBI investigates an incident outside of Detroit.

Authorities say a man with a rifle rammed his car into a synagogue before being shot and killed.

A security officer was injured, but no one else was hurt.

Hudson Valley officials say there are no credible threats in our area.
