State police have released the identities of the three victims who were killed in a multicar crash on the Taconic State Parkway.
The victims are 2-year-old Leona Sinanovic, of the Bronx, and a Brooklyn mother and daughter: 61-year-old Ledell Mulvaney and 31-year-old Katherine Mulvaney.
Police say Leona's father, 33-year-old Nerim Sinanovic, was behind the wheel of a BMW SUV that was traveling northbound in Yorktown at around 3 p.m. Saturday when it veered off the road.
Police say the BMW went airborne, crossed over the median and crashed into two cars that were headed south. One of the cars was carrying the Mulvaneys. Donald Mulvaney, 63, was behind the wheel of the vehicle. He is listed in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center.
The parkway's southbound lanes were shut down, causing heavy delays that stretched back to Route 202 as crews worked to clear the scene.
Nerim Sinanovic survived, and he is in stable condition. His other daughter, who is 1, and his wife were also inside the BMW at the time of the crash; they suffered minor injuries.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused him to veer off the road.
