Police: Girl hit by stray bullet in Newburgh

An 11-year-old girl is recovering Saturday after being hit by a stray bullet in Newburgh. Police say shots were fired in the area of Liberty Street and Benkard Avenue around 10:30 Friday night.

An 11-year-old girl is recovering Saturday after being hit by a stray bullet in Newburgh.
Police say shots were fired in the area of Liberty Street and Benkard Avenue around 10:30 Friday night.
The girl was struck in the hip while getting out of a taxi. She is expected to be OK.
No arrests have been made.
