Police say a 15-year-old Fairfield Ludlowe High School student was arrested for sending threats to classmates.
Authorities say it was reported to police that multiple students received threatening text messages from an unknown number.
A police investigation found that the message was from the 15-year-old student.
The student is charged with threatening and breach of peace.
Superintendent of Schools Mike Cummings said in a statement he was thankful for the hard work and thorough investigation done by the Fairfield Police Department. He also said there was no credibility behind the threats.
Cummings also said that the community has the right to come to school without fear.
