A man accused of assaulting his girlfriend was arrested with the help of a police drone Friday in Ramapo.

Authorities say the 27-year-old fled the scene in a white cab after the incident.

A police drone followed him to Hillcrest Driveway, where he was arrested.

Authorities say he was released on an appearance ticket.

An order of protection was also given to the victim.

The events leading up to the assault were not immediately clear.
