State police say the Long Island mom who caused the fiery Taconic State Parkway crash that killed eight people still had alcohol in her stomach when she died.

State Police Maj. William Carey also said Tuesday that a broken bottle of Absolut vodka was found near the wreck of Diane Schuler's minivan.

A toxicology report found that Schuler had a blood alcohol level of .19 and high levels of THC in her blood when she entered the parkway going the wrong way July 26. Tests also found she smoked marijuana up to an hour before the wreck.

Schuler was taking her two young children and three nieces home from a camping trip when she drove nearly two miles the wrong way on the Taconic and collided head-on with an SUV carrying three men from Yonkers.

Schuler, her 2-year-old daughter, three nieces and the three Yonkers men were killed in the accident. Schuler's 5-year-old son survived the collision.
