7ds agoA child was seriously hurt and three adults were also injured Friday night in a crash on I-87 in Yonkers that left traffic backed up for hours.
Police say it happened shortly after 7 p.m. in the southbound lanes just south of Clark Street.
The accident also led to the closure of the southbound lanes for hours.
Investigators say two cars were involved.
The vehicle that was carrying the child overturned.
The two adults in the car that was carrying the child were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The only one person in the other car involved suffered minor injuries.
There was no word on the child's age or what led to the accident as of Saturday afternoon.
