Spring Valley police say that a 1-year-old child has died while left alone in a car for several hours.
Police say they were called to the scene on Ridge Avenue at 4:39 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to call 845-356-7400.
Police would not release any other information but said an ongoing investigation is taking place involving several agencies, including Rockland County Child Protective Services.
