Police say they have located the body of a Poughkeepsie man who was sought in connection to the death of his wife.
The body of Audrey Grogan was found on Sept. 28, but police were not able to find her 59-year-old husband, George Grogan.
During a search on Oct. 3, police located a body in a wooded area east of Bear Mountain Bridge. The Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that the body was George Grogan.
According to officials, George Grogan's son called police Friday night to tell them his father had harmed his mother, Audrey Grogan.
When police arrived to the family home on Shamrock Circle in Poughkeepsie, the couple was nowhere to be found.
As a multi-agency search was underway, a Bear Mountain State Park employee found the couple's 1990 Dodge Caravan in the area of Anthony's Nose trailhead on Saturday evening.
Audrey Grogan's body was discovered in the back of the van. There is no word yet on the cause of her death, but investigators say that she appeared to have died under suspicious conditions. They did not identify anyone else wanted in connection to the deaths.
News 12 is told there will be a funeral for Audrey Grogran Sunday in Poughkeepsie.
