Police say a robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash Saturday from a Hunts Point bank and left behind a package thought to be a bomb.
Officers say the accused robber passed the Chase bank teller a note demanding cash at around 11:30 a.m. before fleeing and leaving behind a package they thought contained explosives.
Dozens of businesses, the Urban Health Clinic and a Dunkin? Donuts near the Southern Boulevard bank were evacuated during the investigation. Police are unsure if the package was left behind as a diversion.
