Ramapo police arrested a man on a weapons possession charge early Sunday morning.

The arrest took place at 4 a.m. at a gas station on Route 306 in the village of Wesley Hills.

According to police, the 36-year-old suspect was allegedly hitting people.

Police arrested him and also found prescription medications.

He was being held at police headquarters pending arraignment.
