Police: 40-year-old man shot in the leg in Dutchess County

Police are searching for the suspect responsible for shooting and injuring a man Monday night in Dutchess County.

The Poughkeepsie PBA says police received reports of shots being fired on Talmadge Street near Pulaski Park.

Officers say when they arrived, they found a 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He received medical care on the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing, and they are still searching for a suspect.
