Three men are in custody after a drug sweep in Orange County.
Police say they seized 311 bags of heroin, $600 in cash and seven weapons after raiding a home on Meadow Road in the village of Florida on Friday night.
An eight-month investigation led to the arrest of Carl Herrmann, 33, and Joseph Powell, 32. Both are charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
Village of Florida resident Jason Pawliczak, 41, was also arrested. He is being charged with misdemeanor possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities say the bust proves that drugs are an epidemic that everyone in the county and surrounding counties are dealing with.
Police say Herrmann and Powell, who are both facing felony charges, are expected to face a grand jury in Orange County Court this coming week.
Pawliczak is expected to appear in a village of Florida court this week.
