Police say three large bags of marijuana was discovered in an unpaid storage unit in Ramapo.

They responded to a self-storage facility where staff say they opened a storage unit because the renter had defaulted on payments.

The contents were going to be auctioned off.

Officials say when staff opened the unit, they found the marijuana.

The marijuana was turned over to the police department.
