Police are investigating what caused a deadly head-on collision in Yorktown.
They say a 28-year-old man died as a result of the collision on Route 202 around 7 a.m.
"It appeared that one of the cars crossed over the double yellow line, striking one of the other vehicles. You would expect that two cars - even if they were traveling at 30 mph - that's a 60 mph combined speed. The damage is pretty severe," says Lt. Tom Gentner, of the Yorktown police.
Police say the victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the other vehicle was also injured, but the extent of those injuries is not currently known.
Route 202 was temporarily closed from Pinebrook Court to Lexington Avenue during the investigation.
