Two Ansonia men were shot during an altercation at a party, police say.

Police responded to the St. Sebastian Club around 2 a.m. Saturday for reported disturbance. According to police, officers "found a party at [the] location that ended when unknown parties began to fight." Those involved in the initial incident left before officers arrived.

Around 2:30 a.m., a shooting at the club occurred between two Ansonia residents, authorities say. A 27-year-old man was shot multiple times in the torso. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. A 26-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and treated at a hospital.

It's not clear if the victims were involved in the fight. Police did not offer any information regarding arrests.
