Two teens arrested on gun charges following police chase and car crash in Poughkeepsie

Two teenagers, Amari Webb, 19, and an 18-year-old boy, face gun charges after a car crash in Poughkeepsie.
The incident began when state troopers attempted to pull over the car on Route 9W for multiple traffic infractions Saturday. The vehicle refused to stop, leading to a brief chase that ended before entering Poughkeepsie.
Later, reports emerged of the car crashing into multiple vehicles in a Main Street parking lot. Troopers found the car unoccupied but subsequently apprehended the suspects at the intersection of Mill Street and North Bridge Street.
Three illegal handguns were discovered in the car following the arrests. The teens were charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degree.
They were arraigned in Town of Lloyd Court and taken to Ulster County Jail.
