Police: 17-year-old stabbed after escorting person out of soup kitchen in Midwood

Police describe the suspect as a man between the ages of 40 and 50 who was last seen wearing a red sweater.

Police are on the hunt for a man who stabbed a teenager working at the Masbia Soup Kitchen in Midwood.

According to the NYPD, the victim, a 17-year-old, was volunteering at a soup kitchen located at 1372 Coney Island Ave. when he asked a disorderly person to leave. The teen then escorted that person out of the soup kitchen, and the person stabbed the teen in the stomach before running away.

The teenager is in stable condition and was transported to a nearby hospital.
