Police: 1 dead, another seriously injured in car crash on New Jersey Turnpike

Police say one person is dead and another was seriously injured when a car went off-road before re-entering the New Jersey Turnpike and crashing into another car Saturday afternoon.

Police: 1 dead, another seriously injured in car crash on New Jersey Turnpike
Police say one person is dead and another was seriously injured when a car went off-road before re-entering the New Jersey Turnpike and crashing into another car Saturday afternoon.
They say the driver of a Honda Accord lost control of the car around mile marker 52.7 going northbound.
Police say the Honda went off-road temporarily, and when the driver re-entered the driving lanes, the car was struck by an Acura MDX.
They say three people were inside the Honda at the time.
The crash closed down that section of the New Jersey Turnpike for nearly five hours.
