A Pleasantville man is searching for someone who can save his life.
"Right now my kidneys are functioning at about 16% of a regular, normally functioning kidney," Philip Alderman says.
Alderman says his kidneys have been declining for the last few years, and he worries he won't survive on the wait list. He says it could be years before he's matched with someone with Type O blood.
"What affects me most is not being here for my family. My son is 10 years old ... he's just going into the fifth grade," says Alderman.
Philip's wife Elizabeth is desperately searching for a donor, posting on Facebook to get the word out.
"We've been together since 1997, we adore each other, and I am hopeful that something good will come out of this and that he will get a kidney and that things will be okay," says Elizabeth Alderman.
Just recently, the pair posted a sign on the back of their car, hoping that a passerby will see them while they take a drive and perhaps donate, or tell someone who can.
