A community came together on Sunday evening to remember a Pleasantville family that was killed in an apparent murder-suicide earlier this month.
A vigil of remembrance was held at Holy Innocents Catholic Church to remember the Liu family, including wife Dorothy, as well as her children, 4-year-old Adeline and 7-year-old Tennyson.
Families in the village are also placing a lit candle in their windows to remember the Lius. "It's going to take time, it may never go away. But slowly through people supporting each other they'll get through it," says state Sen. Pete Harckham (D-40th).
In a statement, Dorothy's family said, in part, "Even during this difficult time of grief over the tragic death of Dorothy and her young children, Tennyson and Adeline, we are comforted by the knowledge that they are now with God in heaven."
