A new place for kids to play in Yonkers is being dedicated to a fallen police officer.
Yonkers Police Lt. Roy McLaughlin was remembered Friday at the dedication of a state-of-the-art playground named in his honor.
The 38-year-old father of four died of brain cancer in September.
McLaughlin was diagnosed after working at Ground Zero following the terror attacks on 9/11.
The equipment in the 10,000-square-foot playground was built for kids ages 2 through 12.
