A private aviation company is reaching new heights to uplift underprivileged breast cancer patients.
The company, Wheels Up, unveiled a pink and white plane Wednesday night at Westchester County Airport in Harrison to raise awareness and money for breast cancer treatments.
Dr. Elisa Port, the co-director of the Dubin Breast Center at Mount Sinai Hospital, says the new plane gives hope to the men and women who are unable to afford care there.
"One woman getting better treatment or early detection will be a win," she says.
Activists are setting their sights very high to raise funds further for breast cancer awareness. This year's goal is a lofty $1 million.
