An early morning accident on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Scarsdale left a driver with serious injuries.

County police say it occurred around 7 a.m. on the southbound parkway, south of Mamaroneck Road.

The pickup truck veered off the road, hit a tree and rolled over in a wooded area. A motorist reported the crash.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was extricated from the vehicle.

He was transported to Westchester Medical Center.

The accident remains under investigation.
