Greenburgh-based pharmaceutical company Regeneron on Tuesday opened a new $130 million headquarters and research facility.
Despite the lingering credit crisis that has dragged down the nation's economy, Regeneron, along with the rest of the pharmaceutical industry, has continued to grow.
"Disease and illness are not in a recession, and we are growing to help meet the challenges our health care system will be facing," says Dr. Leonard Schleifer, the president and CEO of Regeneron, which has added 300 jobs to its payroll during the past two years.
With other pharma companies in the area, Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner says the town can become New York's capital of pharmaceuticals.
