The person
fatally struck by a train in Peekskill Monday has been identified as a 59-year-old woman.
Officials say Anna Hongach, of Peekskill,
was illegally walking on the tracks when she
was hit by a Metro-North train before 6 a.m. near the Hudson Avenue crossing.
The reason Hongach was trespassing on the tracks has not been
released.
The investigation is ongoing.
