A Peekskill woman has been sentenced after she was caught pretending to be a lawyer.
Delilah Torres was sentenced to five years’ probation.
Prosecutors say she appeared in Pleasantville Village Court several times in 2017 representing a client.
When the court questioned her credentials, Torres claimed that she just graduated from Columbia Law and did not take her bar exam yet.
Records show that Torres never attended Columbia.
