Police arrested a Peekskill woman Monday night for allegedly selling drugs out of her grandmother's apartment in a senior living complex.
Authorities say Yvonne Frye, 47, was dealing crack, heroin and marijuana from the apartment she shares with her 93-year-old grandmother, Molli Frye.
?Ms. Frye led us on a chase [for] several blocks and dumped narcotics from the vehicle as she fled,? says Lt. Eric Johansen, of the Peekskill Police Department.
Officers say they seized the narcotics that were allegedly in Frye?s possession at the time of her arrest and also found more drugs at her grandmother?s home.
Molli Frye denies involvement in her granddaughter?s alleged drug trade, saying Yvonne Frye only used her address, but did not actually live with her.
?I don't use drugs,? Molli Frye says. ?I never had a drug in my hand in my life.?
This is not the first time Yvonne Frye is in trouble with the law. Five months ago, she was arrested for allegedly dealing drugs from the same apartment.
Molli Frye says she is concerned about being evicted from her home, and adds she does not intend to let her granddaughter stay with her in the future.
Yvonne Frye is being held at the Westchester County Jail. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.
