Peekskill is honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to the Black community in fields such as education, business, social work and emergency services.

Peekskill is honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to the Black community in fields such as education, business, social work and emergency services.
Among the honorees is Lisa Alexander, the director of Surviving NICU Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families with babies in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Another honoree is Ted Bitter, a business owner who operates the BeanRunner Café and provides coaching and mentorship to young athletes through the Westchester Striders program.
