A Peekskill police officer accused of sexually abusing a local woman will face a judge today.
Michael Agovino, 33, is accused of showing up at her home several times, wearing his uniform and handgun, forcing her to strip, and groping her.
He is facing felony sexual abuse, stalking and burglary charges.
He is not allowed near his accuser while out on bond.
A lawsuit was brought against Agovino back in 2012 involving alleged police brutality that was eventually settled outside of court.
The Peekskill Police Department says it is fully cooperating with the investigation into the allegations by the Westchester County DA's Office, and says Agovino has been placed on administrative leave until further notice.
