A house fire Tuesday night will leave at least three families homeless on Thanksgiving.
The fire broke out around 8 p.m. at a three-apartment house on the 1300 block of Main Street and quickly spread to surrounding buildings, according to fire officials. Multiple engines arrived at the scene to combat the flames.
Local firefighters were joined by forces from neighboring areas, including the Westchester Arson Taskforce. Fire officials say they had trouble fighting the inferno due to a shortage of available water on the street.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the blaze. No injuries have yet been reported.
