A pedestrian was struck and injured by a driver while walking along a road in that was deemed dangerous just last weekend by a local sixth grader.
As News 12 has reported, Edgemont student Maya Barmecha is urging lawmakers install a sidewalk along Fort Hill Road from Longview Drive to Underhill Road.
That's where a 67-year-old woman was struck by a car Friday night. Police say the victim was walking near the Fort Hill Road and Underhill Road intersection when she was hit by a turning SUV.
She was rushed to the hospital, but the extent of her injuries are unclear.
The driver remained at the scene but detectives are continuing to investigate.
