78-year-old pedestrian fatally struck by a car in Peekskill
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a car in Peekskill on Sunday.            
Peekskill police say the accident happened near the 400 block of Washington Street around 3:30 p.m.
Upon officers’ arrival, they found the pedestrian, a 78-year-old male from Peekskill, lying in the middle of the street, unresponsive with what appeared to be a critical head injury.
The victim was transported to Westchester Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle has not been charged yet, but the investigation is ongoing.
