District administrators in Pearl River are under fire for comments made at the end of their board meeting Tuesday evening.
The meeting had ended but the livestream kept rolling. The video ended abruptly when administrators turned off the livestream.
Pearl River parents are now demanding the three district administrators resign over comments that appeared to mock parents and the way a student was dressed.
"The remarks wholly regrettable have caused upset in the community. These three administrators know there is a higher standard to meet," said Pearl River Schools Superintendent Dr. Marco Pochintesta.
The superintendent says he can't say if the administrators will be penalized because personnel matters are handled privately, but parents are pushing for the highly paid administrators to resign.
Parents also told News 12 they are also frustrated the videos of board meetings are not posted anywhere to be viewed after it is finished. A district spokesperson says schools can post videos or transcripts of meetings and they opt for the transcripts. There is no word yet on if that may change going forward.
