A Pearl Harbor survivor was honored this weekend at Suffern's annual Christmas Parade.
The Grand Marshall of the parade was 98-year-old World War II veteran Armando "Chick" Galella of Sleepy Hollow.
Dozens of floats and first responders decked the streets near Lafayette and Orange avenues in the festive parade.
The community made Galella his very own float to say thank you for his service on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. "It's amazing I don't deserve all this I really don't. but it's nice that they honor the veterans," says Galella. Chick went on to say that the real heroes are the ones who sacrifice their lives for their country.
