Paws & Pals: Dogs up for adoption at Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter on Feb. 25

In this week's Paws & Pals, the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter presented three dogs looking for their 'furever' homes.
Everest is a 1-year-old Great Pyranees/Hound mix. He still has training to do, but has learned his commands in a short time at the shelter. Everest gets along with other dogs and would make a great family pet with children ages 10 or older due to his size and exuberance.
Alfredo is a 2-year-old Border Collie/Lab mix. He is from an overcrowded shelter in Georgia through the Shelter Connection's Rescue program. He loves playing with rope toys, and enjoys going for walks and snacking on treats. Alfredo gets along great with other dogs and would be best in a home without young children.
Lucy is an 8-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who is mild mannered.  She ended up at the shelter after eight years of loyalty to one family, but she is ready for her second lease on life. Lucy knows her basic commands, and is housebroken and affectionate. This gentle girl would make a great addition to any family.
